Who will benefit
This course is aimed at those people who have responsibility for managing and developing the performance of others or mentor others informally. It would be helpful if participants have an understanding of learning styles, coaching, and feedback, listening and questioning techniques.
Objectives
This workshop is designed to prepare managers to successfully become a mentor. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary. It encourages participants to consider their roles and responsibilities as a mentor, share expectations for the relationship and draw up a contract of how the mentoring sessions should be conducted.

  • Practice the skills necessary to become an effective mentoring including coaching, questioning, listening and giving feedback
  • Evaluate sessions to ensure continuous improvement and identify actions or agenda items for follow up
